Studio Adullam is an architectural practice formed in Yardley, Pennsylvania by Matthew Standeven in 2025. The goal is to continue exceptional architectural services obtained from the collaborative ethos formed from sixteen years of experience of working for a number of prestigious firms in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Studio Adullam exercises an architectural practice of writing, drawing and modeling derived from memory, metaphor, object, material, atmosphere, and geometry to honor people, their relationships to each other, and the space they occupy within their family, culture, and society. This process often includes abstract and conceptual thinking to provide architectural solutions that address qualitative and quantitative challenges.

The name Studio Adullam is a reference to the Cave of Adullam in the Old Testament, where King David sought refuge. It is here where he reoriented the course of his life away from the horizontal and back towards the vertical. We understand Adullam to be less of a place and more of a condition of the human heart. It is from this condition that we approach all that we do.
